The MCAA Annual Meeting

The MCAA Annual Meeting had many serious matters to consider including an amendment to the Constitution & Bylaws. ence, W. C. Dentinger, Jr., MCAA president, presiding. The audience participated in the traditional Pledge of Allegiance and witnessed the impressive presentation of colors by a U.S. Marine Color Guard. Following the invocation by Msgr. Trainor of St. John's Catholic Church, President Dentinger delivered his annual Report of the President (the full text appears elsewhere in this issue).

Outstanding Keynote Address

The keynote address by Jack Jackson of Oklahoma City. Okla., was one of the best in the memory of most MCAA members. Jackson heads his own consulting firm after having spent the past 27 years in the aviation industry, the last 23 years with American Airlines as an instructor and good will ambassador.

Jackson spoke on survival in today's fast-changing world and stressed the need for innovation to stay "alive." He punctuated his remarks with many humorous anecdotes from his own career experience, and always kept the audience anxious to hear more. He emphasized the necessity for long-range planning in any type of business in order to perceive customers' future needs. He gave as examples the vast changes in banking, health care, airlines and car manufacturing that have occurred in the last decade.

Jackson also referred to many of the remarks made by President Dentinger in his address regarding the pressing
