MCAA CONFERENCE

The Conference will officially open with the annual President's Reception on Saturday afternoon, March 14, followed immediately by the ribbon-cutting for the MCCA Trade Show in the Exhibition Hall of the Anatole. The Show, which now is held every two years, promises to be one of the largest and best in MCAA's history, judging from the unusual interest and response from exhibitors. (A partial listing of exhibiting firms who have signed up for space thus far appears on page 13 of this issue.)

Another popular event, the Masonry Industry Showcase featuring outdoor demonstrations of the latest in material handling equipment, will be presented Sunday morning on the grounds of the Anatole. And a special palate-pleasing buffet, the famous Anatole Brunch, will be available at noon Sunday at the conclusion of the Showcase.

On Monday morning, March 16, President Dee Brown will preside at the Opening Session of the Conference, with the speakers to be announced. A social event you surely won't want to miss will be held that evening-a Pre-St. Patrick's Day theme party with genuine Irish food, music and entertainment. It will be an evening to remember, so plan on attending.

The Second Session of the Conference will be presented on Tuesday morning, followed by the MCAA Annual Meeting on Tuesday afternoon. All active MCAA members are welcome to attend and to present their views regarding the business affairs of the Association.

One of the speakers at the Second Session will be Harold E. Moore, a labor arbitrator and attorney, who presently is general manager of the North Texas Contractors Association. He also is a lecturer in the School of Business, University of Texas at Arlington, A graduate of the University of Texas Law School, Moore is an active member of numerous professional associations and business groups. He has been practicing labor arbitration for ten years and will share his thoughts and experiences in labor matters with the MCAA membership.

More about the Conference will appear in forthcoming issues of Masonry. The official Registration Forms for the Conference and Pre-Conference programs are on pages 9 and 11 of this issue. Why not look them over, fill them out, and mail them today!
