Fire Safety Forum #2
The Concrete & Masonry Industry Fire Safety Committee has scheduled Fire Safety Forum #2 for September 29 & 30 at the Sheraton Music City Hotel, Nashville, TN. All those in the industry involved in local promotion through building codes should make a special effort to attend.

Dur-O-Wal Promotions
Dur-O-Wal, Inc. has announced the following staff promotions. Larry Mongole has joined the firm as Regional Vice President. He will direct sales in the company's Eastern Region. New Regional Sales Manager for the firm is Van Junkins who will handle sales operations in the states of Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. New Sales Representatives are Robert Fink in the southern part of the company's Eastern Region and Keith Abrams in the northern portion of the Eastern Region. Diane Rosier and Karen Weed have been appointed Customer Service Managers.

Joanne Oxley, Legislative Representative for the Associated Specialty Contractors recently met with Senator Lowell P. Weicker, Jr. (R-CT) to discuss prompt pay and campaign finance reform legislation pending in the U.S. Senate.

Lee Ken Voelz has been named to the position of Package Cement Sales Representative for the Wisconsin District, for Lafarge Corp., Huron Cement. John Ochs has been appointed director of Public Affairs for Ford New Holland, Inc. Susan A. Tiede has joined Conproco Corp., Concord, NH, as Controller. Celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary on June 20th, were MCAA Regional Vice President Bob and Dorothy Tubesing, Brookfield, Wisc.

The 1987 Catalog of American National Standards is now available from the American National Standards Institute. The 1987 edition lists approximately 8,000 ANSI-approved standards for virtually every field and discipline. They provide dimensions, ratings, terminology and symbols, test methods, performance requirements, and safety specifications for products, equipment, materials, and components.

Catalog users can track down a document by subject or by designation number. The 164-page publication lists standards in a wide range of fields including acoustics; construction; electrical and electronics; financial services; fuel gas; heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration; information systems; measurement and automatic control; mechanical; medical devices; nuclear; petroleum; physical distribution; safety and health; and textiles.
