Stephen M. Smith, formerly laser instrument division salesmanager, has been named director of sales and marketing for David White, a leading manufacturer of optical and laser construction instruments.



Len Ottino, formerly with Fiatallis North America, has been named district salesmanager for the eastern region by JCB Incorporated. He will be responsible for working with dealers in Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin.



Tony L. Mihalpovich, formerly executive vice president, has been elected president and chief executive officer of David White, replacing E. Gustav Malm, who resigned last October.



William D. Gehl, executive vice president, chief operating officer, general counsel and secretary of Ziegler Company, a financial services holding company, has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Gehl Company. He succeeds Bernard L. Nielsen, who has left the company. Victor A. Mancinelli has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer.



Sauereisen, a Pittsburgh based manufacturer of specialty cements and adhesives, has acquired Coatings/Composites, Inglewood, California, a producer of industrial coating and flooring systems.
