MASONRY ADVISORY BOARD
Members of Masonry Magazine's Editorial Review Board are industry leaders who actively participate in establishing editorial direction and achieving goals. This month we introduce eight of the thirteen member board.
BARBARA A. CAMPBELL
BARBARA L. CAMPBELL, Executive Director of the Masonry Institute of Dayton, is past membership chair of the Architectural League of Dayton and is the past promotion chair of the Dayton chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute. She has been a guest lecturer at the University of Dayton, Ohio State University, U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology and Sinclair Community College, as well as various other service and civic organizations. She was appointed to the Huber Heights Citizens Advisory Committee and is a member of the Sinclair Community College Advisory Board. Campbell is the editor of "Trowel Talk" and has written numerous articles and papers in the field.
JOHN P. RIES
JOHN RIES has been involved in engineering and construction for twenty-five years and is presently the Executive Director of Expanded Shale, Clay and Slate Institute. The Institute represents the manufacturers of rotary kiln produced structural lightweight aggregate. He is a member of ACI, ASTM and MCMA and is a graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering from Montana State University.
JAMES E. AMRHEIN
JAMES E. AMRHEIN, consulting engineer and Executive Director of the Masonry Institute of America, is a founding member and Past President of The Masonry Society and is on the board of directors of the Council for Masonry Research. A professor of civil engineering at California State University, he's also a fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Concrete Institute, and a member of the International Conference of Building Officials, American Society for Testing and Materials, and Structural Engineering Association of Southern California.
