Las Vegas has proven the ability to recreate itself time and time again. Starting from a little sandy desert town surrounded by absolutely nothing, soon the city of Las Vegas was consumed by mobster Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel and transformed into pink neon glitz and glamour. While no era can last forever, Bugsy would eventually move out and Howard Hughes would initiate the corporate reign of Las Vegas. Las Vegas, a city tied closely with tradition, is also a vibrant city not afraid to build bigger and better in an effort to continually recreate the excitement. This year the MCAA will prove its capacity to recreate and improve our own traditions. In Las Vegas while we are celebrating our 50th Anniversary as a national association, we are simultaneously celebrating the birth of THE MASONRY SHOW.

Much of the traditional association elements will be present in the educational seminars and networking activities February 7-10, but you will also notice the recreated excitement on the exhibition show floor. Our exhibitors have responded in full force to bring you discounts and specials in Las Vegas-probably the best odds for bringing money back from your stay!

As you browse through this brochure I am certain you will see this year's program encompasses many of the best Las Vegas attractions, excursions and entertainment. Even the headquarter hotel at the RIO is an all suite hotel with award winning restaurants and entertainment. Make plans to join the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Mason Contractors Association of America and THE MASONRY SHOW this February. You will experience first-hand the progress we have made!

See you in Las Vegas!
Sincerely,
Donald Larsen

MCAA Opening Session Breakfast with Frank Miles

Entertainer Frank Miles will assist MCAA President Donald Larsen in officially welcoming attendees to the 50th MCAA Annual Convention. Frank's hilarious comic monologues, juggling, music and magic illustrate simple truths to shatter self-imposed limits. His high-energy performance "Laugh at Fear" is well suited for this early morning performance! Once again, audience participation will keep you laughing the rest of the day!

Old West MASONRY SHOW Welcome Reception

The Old West Town of Bonnie Springs has been cleared of strangers for a night you'll not soon forget. Welcomed by gun-fights and witness to a live hanging, attendees of our night in the Old West can meander through shops and museums or learn how to line dance with a live western band. Dressed in your Old West Best, an old time photo shop is another option when finished enjoying the wax museum, silent movie house, cactus garden and shooting gallery.
