MCA OF NORTHEAST OHIO, INC. MAKES YMCA ALL MASONRY "DREAM HOME" A REALITY

MCA of Northeast Ohio, Inc. "Part- ners In Masonry" led by Roland Reed (President of Northeast Masonry, Inc.) and nine member contractors have teamed up with Mark Moore (of R.L. Moore Builders) and local sup- pliers to donate labor and materials for this year's Northeast Ohio YMCA Dream House.

Every year, the YMCA builds a home that is raffled off as a major fundraiser for their programs. This year's home was a modern adapta- tion of a historic Charleston Home. The home offers an all masonry shell from basement to roof line using col-ored split-faced block in the base- ment, and colored Quick-Brik through the wall units from grade to roof level.

Other fine masonry details include a Rumford fireplace with a stone chimney and brick face, as well as a beautiful stone surround and Ver- mont Castings woodstove in the basement. Roland Reed (also Presi- dent of the MCA of Northeast Ohio) said, "The effective use of masonry sets this dream house apart from oth- ers built in past years. The masonry clearly gives this house a much stronger feeling of warmth, security and beauty."

The MCA of Northeast Ohio would like to thank the following suppliers who worked with them to make this project a huge success: Foundation Systems, Inc., Akron Brick and Block, Chas. Svec Com- pany, Raymond Builders Supply, Nichol's Woodstove Shop, Cont- inental Products, and R.W. Sidley, Inc., Great Lakes Cement Shippers Assoc., Barry's Trucking, Demilta Sand & Gravel Inc., Gabor Enter- prises, Inc., Osborne, Inc., Samco, Inc., Union Sand & Supply Corp.

Participating members of the dream house construction project break for a picture with MCAA Director of Market- ing Jeff Buczkiewicz during the ribbon cutting ceremony.
