# MCAA Skills Challenge Winners
Following are the award winners of the MCAA Skills Challenge for Region C. First year winners were Jeremy Casey-First place, $400; Christopher Drinkwine - Second place, $250; and Tyler Alto - Third place, $100.

Second year winners were Darren Tobolt-First place, $400; Michael Dodge - Second place, $250; and Mathew Smith-Third place, $100.

# Caterpillar to Acquire Bucyrus
Caterpillar Inc. and Bucyrus International Inc. have entered into an agreement under which Caterpillar will acquire Bucyrus International in a transaction valued at about $8.6 billion (including net debt). The acquisition is based on Caterpillar's key strategic imperative to expand its leadership in the mining equipment industry, and positions Caterpillar to capitalize on the robust long-term outlook for commodities driven by the trend of rapid growth in emerging markets which are improving infrastructure, rapidly developing urban areas and industrializing their economies.
