MCAA has received over 20 new requests for Masonry Career Day visitors!

The new school year has begun, and the "Check Out a Career in Masonry" recruitment initiative is also 'back to school'! As we have for the past few years, the MCAA Workforce Development department is continuing to communicate with guidance counselors and masonry instructors through quarterly email and mail newsletters. Early last week, the MCAA sent over 1,000 newsletters to educators nationwide.

The newsletter is in a format similar to this "Masonry Messenger", and it contains information for the counselors and instructors about masonry recruitment, training, and careers. Each time this newsletter is distributed, the positive response is overwhelming. In the few short days since the latest issue was released, the MCAA has received over 20 new requests for Masonry Career Day visitors!

Consistent communication with these educators will solidify masonry as an option for their vocational students, and provide instruction as to where their students can go to get started in a career. This element of the Recruitment Campaign is just one part of the program that is making a significant affect on the quality and quantity of new students interested in our trade.
