MCAA offers expanding education opportunities to provide an extra edge in the marketplace.

The MCAA's mason contractors are often looking for ways to increase knowledge and awareness of the masonry industry to both the general public and design professionals. Continuing education within the industry gives contractors the additional knowledge to keep up with the trends of product, standards of safety and even maintain a safe and knowledgeable crew.

As mason contractors continue to look for ways to stay competitive within the industry, the MCAA is now offering expanding education opportunities to provide an extra edge in the marketplace. MCAA education offerings continue to grow with an expanded National Education Series schedule and new seminars during 2007.

The National Education Series program includes the newly added Masonry Quality Institute. MQI is a two-day seminar which will focus on the basics of building a successful and profitable business while using the principles of the Quality Process. Additional seminars in this series include; Basic Masonry Estimating, Foreman Development and Wall Bracing Design.

The Masonry Showcase in Orlando, Florida will be a great time for contractors to continue to enhance their skill and work experience. Education is one of the cornerstones to the Showcase and this year MCAA will offer nine distinct topics of interest. The education session offerings will feature acclaimed architect Chris Huckabee and his seminar "Selling Masonry vs. Tilt-Up in the School Market." Be sure to register for this event soon, as it is sure to be one not to miss. Additional sessions will include topics focusing on masonry codes, self-consolidating grout and masonry problems and solutions, just to name a few.

As you can see, the MCAA has now created several different opportunities for mason contractors to have access to industry education throughout the year. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming educational offerings soon.
