Brick SouthEast, a trade association funded by the brick manufacturers in nine southeastern states, held its 13th Annual Manpower Forum for Masonry Apprentices in October.

Thirty-three contestants were comprised of first-, second- and third-year apprentices that had previously won contests in their home states. Held at Sandestin Hilton Golf Resort and Spa, the three-hour contest not only determined the winners of the regional event, but also the apprentices who will represent Brick SouthEast in MCAA's National Contest to be held in Las Vegas in January 2008. Donations of time and/or materials to this event were made by Masonry Arts, General Masonry, Keego Clay Products, Block USA, and the staff of Brick SouthEast.
