Convention Highlights

Opening Session
The MCAA will be host to a top political figure at this year's reception (to be named later). Attendees will be introduced to our special guest speaker and enjoy a wonderful dinner at the Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino. The guest speaker will give a short 5-10 minute summary of what we can expect on the political front in 2010. This small intimate setting is a great opportunity to get an inside look at the year ahead in politics. MCAA President Tom Daniel will also give a brief state of the association presentation.

Fastest Trowel Competition
The Fastest Trowel on the Block Competition is a showcase of industry craftsmanship and a testament of both the speed and skill of our industry's workforce. The competition will pit 20 journeyman masons against one another. Only those journeymen masons who have the skill, confidence and courage to face-off with the industry's best are invited to compete.

Closing Reception
The MCAA will say thank you and goodbye to current MCAA President Tom Daniel. During the dinner portion of the program a short tribute to the MCAA President will be presented. Following dinner, attendees will be treated to the hilarious improvisational skills of comedian Wayne Brady. Brady is well known for his hilarious improvised antics, unique musical talents, and limitless impersonation skills as showcased on the hit show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" and the syndicated talk show "The Wayne Brady Show."

Visit convention.masoncontractors.org for more information on these events and a full list of all events being held at the MCAA Convention at the World of Concrete/World of Masonry.
