CEMEX operations are now using one of the most advanced enterprise application software available in the market.
CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. (NYSE: CX), announced the successful execution of its integration to SAP-centric enterprise platform for its operations across all business lines in Mexico, Spain and Costa Rica. This platform is already implemented in other operations, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, among others. Cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates operations are now using one of the most advanced enterprise application software available in the market, to provide even more value for CEMEX customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.

CEMEX achieved this integration in a record time with the help of a transformation team that included key representatives of the different business operations and expert guidance from individuals in the internal CEMEX business process areas. In the following 12 months, the integration process will continue in Central and South America, Europe and Asia.

“We are very proud of these achievements. They show, once again, that CEMEX people are fully engaged in making the company more efficient” said Lorenzo H. Zambrano, Chairman and CEO of CEMEX. “The commitment and the discipline of the implementation teams and the response of all users to this new technological platform have exceeded our expectations, ensuring the success of our operations for years to come.”

During the project, CEMEX received support from its subsidiary Neoris, a global business and IT consulting firm with extensive experience in SAP integrations. “We are proud to have participated in the implementation of this important project for CEMEX’s operations” said Claudio Muruzabal, CEO of Neoris.

“Implementing a new business process model leveraged by SAP platform enhances our ability to operate consistently across all of our lines of business and to provide even more value to our customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders,” concluded Eduardo Guerra, Senior Vice President of Processes. “The coordination between country presidents and their teams with the Processes area and Neoris, has been a clear successful collaborative effort allowing these major achievements for our company”.

"As a global model for successful business transformation, CEMEX has continued to make significant advancements in bringing its business to a real-time environment," said Bill McDermott, Co-CEO of SAP, AG. "Working together, we can help connect CEMEX drivers to the board room with the visibility and transparency required to run a business in the moment."
