Spider, a Division of SafeWorks, LLC, announces four employees recently graduated from its “Competent Person Train the Trainer Course,” deeming them qualified to lead customers through Spider’s industry-leading Competent Person Training program.

The nationally recognized program meets the standards set forth by OSHA for the training of a competent person, and once successfully completed, allows employers to deem their employees competent to use suspended scaffold equipment. In the program’s twelve year history, nearly 5,000 individuals have completed the safety coursework composed of intensive knowledge instruction and hands-on applications.

“Spider’s trainers are recognized as the most knowledgeable resources in the suspended scaffold industry,” says John Sotiroff, Vice President, Sales and Distribution. “Chosen for their leadership, experience, and expertise in jobsite safety, risk mitigation and OSHA codes, Spider trainers are vital to making work at height safer.”

The recent “Train the Trainer” graduates grow Spider’s training team to a total of 29, increasing capacity to deliver Competent Person Training to customers throughout Spider’s 25 locations in the Americas.
