New AED Headquarters

Associated Equipment Distributors, national association of the construction equipment industry, moved this month into its new national headquarters building at Oak Brook, III., in the near western suburbs of Chicago.

AED's newly constructed building is a single story structure covering 12,000 square feet, with a stone and glass exterior and wood shingle roof. Situated on a 1-34 acre site near the juncture of two major highways, the Association's new headquarters are less than 30 minutes drive from Chicago's downtown and approximately 20 minutes from O'Hare International Airport.

Interior features of the building completely air conditioned include a coordinated departmental floor plan, an open court that provides natural light throughout, a large conference room that can be divided into two smaller meeting facilities, a management library and an employees' lunch room.

AED's national headquarters is the nerve center for a broad range of programs and services to advance the successful management of member companies and the progress of the industry. Space has also been provided in the building for future expansion of the Association's services to its 900 distributor and 400 manufacturer firms in the United States and Canada.
