New From IMI:
# Masonry "Pro" Hats
In an expansion of the "awareness" campaign which was launched last year, IMI's Market Development Program has produced red and white baseball caps bearing the "Sign of the Masonry Pro" emblem. The caps are the newest addition to the array of available "awareness" materials including bumper stickers, truck signs, hard hat stickers, stationery seals, and logos for job site signs. The awareness campaign was developed as a way to help architects, engineers, building owners and the general public recognize the distinction between union masonry craftsmen and contractors, on the one hand, and their non-union counterparts. The introductory "Pro" ad appeared in national trade publications last summer, and, at the same time, the logo came into widespread use by MCAA and BAC members throughout the U.S. and Canada.
# Patches, T-shirts Next
In addition to baseball caps, later this spring IMI will produce patches and T-shirts bearing the "Pro" logo. The shirts will carry the slogan, "Nobody builds like union craftsmen and contractors." A new ad depicting a union masonry craftsman wearing a hard hat with a "Pro" sticker will serve to reinforce the message of superior masonry construction through union craftsmen and contractors.
The "Pro" cap is adjustable to fit any size and has a red visor and red nylon mesh sides. The front panel is white polyester with foam lamination. The cost to local/regional groups, MCAA and BAC members is $4 per hat or $40 per box of 12.
# 30% production increase with WACO climbing brackets
WACO's Masonry Climbing Brackets increase production, improve safety, and operate with ease and economy.
The brackets and connected planking move independently, allowing individual adjustment to fit each worker's requirements. This eliminates excess lifting, bending and fatigue. Working with materials at a constant individual height yields top efficiency, resulting in more production.
The brackets can be used on most makes of scaffolding, and can be raised to any height. A double rigger safely raises men and materials, and a gravity self-locking device secures them in place.
WACO's exclusive inside corner climbing bracket now provides a safe walking and working surface at this critical point.
