Minnesota Proclaims "Masonry Week"
Minnesota Governor Rudy Perpich signs the proclamation signifying August 22-28, 1983 as "Minnesota Concrete and Masonry Week." Witnessing the signing were (from left) Bruce Humphrey, president, Aggregate Ready Mix Association; Manford Bakke, vice president, Minnesota Concrete & Mason Contractors Association; Kurt Trump, promotion committee chairman, MC & MCA; Richard Paetow, assistant director, Minnesota Masonry Institute, and Howard Noziska, executive director of the Institute.
As a companion measure commemorating "Masonry Week," the Institute and the MC & MCA cosponsored two seminars dealing with the advantages of masonry construction. One seminar was for design professionals and the other for building and fire officials.
