Cat B15 smart phone launches to worldwide acclaim

Words: Sharon AlbrightThe Cat® B15 made its European debut at this years’ Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and took center stage at CeBIT in Germany. The impact of the successful launch firmly positioned Cat phones as a force to be reckoned with in the rugged device category.

The new Cat B15 has received worldwide acclaim, with media coverage stretching as far as South America and India.

Leading tech blog, Mashable, described the phone as “…a rugged Android smartphone…offering some serious durability for a reasonable price,” while UK gadget site Engadget said, “Its newest smartphone, the Cat B15, undoubtedly has the survivability you’d expect from a company that makes bulldozers.”

Cat phones are tough but smart devices. They’re engineered to keep working even in harsh conditions. The iP67 certification makes the B15 totally dustproof and waterproof in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes, and with Wet Finger Tracking, the 4 inch multi-touch display works even with wet hands.

It’s intelligent too. The dual-core 1GHz runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and its HD video camera means you can easily capture and share the action. This balance of technology and durability gives you a smartphone that’s ready for anything life throws at you.

The Pan-European launch introduced the B15 to the UK, Germany, France and the Nordic markets and was made available in USA at the end of April 2013, extending worldwide thereafter.
