SAIA and SSFI develop COSP for Adjustable Suspended Scaffold

Words: Harold GidishThe Scaffold & Access Industry Association (SAIA) and the Shoring, Scaffold and Forming Institute (SSFI) are pleased to announce the development of Code of Safe Practices (COSP) for Adjustable Suspended Scaffold.

The COSP for Adjustable Suspended Scaffold is intended to provide an additional resource when using Adjustable Suspended Scaffold equipment. This tool should be used byall persons who erect, use, relocate or dismantle adjustable suspended scaffold systems are fully aware of them every time an adjustable suspended scaffold is used.

“The new and improved Codes Of Safe Practices for Adjustable Suspended Scaffolds is one of the most comprehensive documents the Suspended Scaffold Council has produced. Many thanks to all of the people who helped make this happen. These codes are to be posted wherever a temporary stage is being used. You are encouraged to download it for free and distribute them.” said SAIA Suspended Council Chair, Harold Gidish.

The COSP for Adjustable Suspended Scaffold will replace the previously used COSP for Suspended Power Scaffolds that is included in the SAIA safety downloads collection.
