Steven Fechino

Well, I guess by now, you are thinking about getting back to work and all the items on your to-do list that you want to accomplish.  The winter weather is now upon us, and the days have begun to get longer sunlight-wise by a whopping 2 minutes and 7 seconds; I will take that over shorter any day! There are now 40 apprentices that should be excited about getting back to work after receiving their Masonry Apprentice Scholarship for 2023 in late November.  Of course, the program is a group effort by so many great industry professionals that give their time, energy, and products for the tool bag award.

I need to thank Greg Skyta; he has helped this effort the entire time, and without his hard work, the scholarship would be a mess. Keene Building Products, which Mortar Net Solutions has become their Masonry Division, has supported this effort once again as the host company, so many thanks to Jim Keene.  Our industry sponsors are the best, not only for what they do for the scholarship tool bag, but they manufacture or support the industry in the most professional and dependable ways, whether it is teaching or products.

I want to thank all of those who contributed this year: Stacey King, Alan Vespo, Roy Israeli, Andy Green, John Bongiovanni, Joe Romesburg, Morgan Agazzi, Cassie Mejia, Ryan Gray, Kirk Figan, Jake Boyer, Javier Aqui, Matt Risinger, Andy Moore, Mitch Mahler, Brad Gump, Jason Wigboldly, Keith Lolley, Sharon Mersek, and Jim Keene.

Please follow Mortar Net Solutions on social media platforms to see upcoming posts about the students that received the scholarships. If you are a supplier and would like to participate in this effort to better the trades or if you have a worthy student, please feel free to contact me directly at sfechino@mortartnet.com.
