PCA Organizes R & D Sections
Organization of two sections in its Research and Development Division and change of management in another have been announced by the Portland Cement Association.
The new sections are Aggregate Research, headed by John A. Hanson, and Field Trials, directed by Keith E. Bohlig. Albert Litvin replaces Mr. Hanson as manager of the Construction Research Section.
The Aggregates Research Section will seek a solution to the increasing shortage of sound aggregates. It will evaluate the performance of marginal natural aggregates that are in large supply and devise design or processing procedures to allow their use in quality concrete.
The Field Trials Section will test construction systems and products under field conditions, using prototype and trial installations.
