Richard A. Hill has been named Vice President/Finance for Penn-Dixie Industries. The Butter Co., a building specialties supplier in Menomonee Falls, Wis. has hired Geraldine Nehring as Director of Advertising and promoted Paulette Rust into sales. Rex P. Schirmer has been appointed Manager of Operations for the Protective Clothing and Coated Fabric products operations of Norton Company's Safety Products Division. Carl H. Ikonen has been appointed Sales Planning Manager-Crawlers & Excavators for Massey-Ferguson in North America.

A Champion Company survey claims 3 of 5 cars on the road need tune-ups. They waste 1 to 2 gallons per tankful. One car in 30 wastes over 20 percent of its gasoline or $80 a year.

Sheila Hoef has been appointed to the position of Sales Representative for Huron Cement for the Detroit Sales District. She started with Huron in 1958 in the Pricing Department. Mrs. Hoef and her husband Tom, make their home in Sterling Heights, Mich. Bertram M. Voegl, P.E., a building codes expert, has joined the staff of the National Bureau of Standard's Center for Fire Research. Timothy D. Peterson has been appointed General Sales Manager of Clark Equipment Company's Transmission Division, Jackson, Mich.

Richardson has announced that the former Marjorie Webster College Campus in Washington, D.C. has been selected as the site for the National Fire Prevention and Control Administration's National Fire Academy. As a result of the Secretary's decision, Fire Administrator Howard Tipton will proceed with negotiations for the purchase of the 8.5 acres of land in the northern corner of the District of Columbia.
