DW-10 SERIES VENEER ANCHORS FOR DRYWALL CONSTRUCTION WITH METAL STUDS

The DW-10 anchoring system was developed by HOHMANN & BARNARD as the first and foremost positive, mechanical anchoring system for masonry veneer/metal stud construction. Its outstanding performance characteristics make the DW-10 today's most widely specified and utilized anchoring system for masonry veneer/metal stud construction. Due to the DW-10's variety of designs, sizes, and finishes, it can be used to meet the most complex building requirements. Architect, owner, and contractor can be confident when specifying and using this superior product.

PERFORMANCE FEATURES
1. Offers maximum vertical adjustability, while always ensuring full engagement and performance of masonry wire tie. Design eliminates eccentric loading. 100% protection against separation of wire tie from anchor.

2. "V"-shaped indentation on projecting bar of anchor for added structural strength.

3. Anchor design allows masonry veneer to move vertically and laterally in its own plane. (A system that does not allow for movement due to temperature variations, shrinkage, deflection or other stresses will be inviting cracks in the masonry veneer.) While this movement is desireable, in and out movement should be negligible. This positive and negative resistance is accomplished by the DW-10's backplate and projecting "V-BAR", respectively. In realizing the importance of this design consideration, Hohmann & Barnard now offers DW-10 series anchors with two different spacings between projecting "V-BAR" and backplate: to accommodate 3/16" or 1/4" dia. wire tie.

4. Backplate prevents crushing of insulation or wallboard by masonry wire tie. Pressure from positive loads is distributed along backplate of all DW-10 series anchors. No pinpoint loading.

5. Top and bottom of anchor are screwed to metal stud for added strength, an advantage over single-screw systems.

6. DW-10HS has new shorter design for higher strength.

7. DW-10HS™ & DW-10-X™ have a new ribbed design on backplate for added structural strength.

8. New "E-Z TIE" is a masonry wire tie with legs bent outward to ease insertion into any series DW-10, thus reducing labor cost.
