NCMCA 2012 Masonry Skills Contest

Johnson Concrete Company will host the 2012 NCMCA Apprentice Masonry Skills Contest at 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 19th at the Carolina Stalite Plant in Gold Hill, North Carolina.

Contestants must be sponsored and employed by a masonry contractor member of NCMCA in good standing. All contestants must furnish their own tools including trowel, mortar pan, level, square, hammer, modular rule, concave jointers, etc. and must wear proper footwear, have safety goggles or safety glasses, and an approved hard hat. Contestants must not have completed more than 6000 hours or three years of training before the competition. There is a limit of three NCMCA Apprentice Masonry Skills competitions, regardless of hours. The entry fee is $50 for each contestant.

The contest winner will receive the “David R. Sigmon Award” as the 2012 NCMCA Apprentice Skills Contest Champion.
